So Cal Roadrunners Presented Awards At San
Manuel Community Center
The Southern California Roadrunners held their annual Post season
cross country banquet at the San Manuel Community center on January
31st. The event was hosted by Tommy and Maria Ramos. Awards were
presented to all the athletes who participated on the team and competed at
the Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Mechanicsville,
Virginia in December.
All American Awards for finishing among the top 25 at the National
Championships were presented to Claire Graves, Cesar Rodriguez, Trevor
Capestany, John Dominguez, Jharynd Cecil, Hannah Valenzuela, Catrina
McAllister, Dustin Fay, Daniel Rosales, and Jzsanette Lindstrom.
National Championship plaques were presented to the National
Championships Midget Boys team including Trevor Capestany, Michael
Lowrie, Bryce Wickersham, Ruben Dominguez, Efrain and Daniel Vargas,
James Lindstrom, and Zachary Fry. Dustin Fay was awarded a plaque for
winning the National Championship in the Intermediate boys division.
All the coaches were thanked for their hardwork and were presented
gifts by Maria Ramos. Coaches present were Danny Castro, Ed Lowrie,
Luis Diaz, Migues Castro, Rod Croweel from the Walnut area, Efrain
Vargas from Orange County, Stewart Boden, Ghengyz Martinez, and Dr.
Mike Leong from the Highland area. Plaques were presented to the Teams
sponsors Beaver Medical group and the Ramos family.
A slide show presentation of the season was shown and a dance
followed with Coach Chuck Sanchez serving ad DJ.

USATF Membership
All Athletes on the team must have a current USATF membership
card for the 2009 season. No athletes can be preentered into races
without a number and will be not allowed to train with the team if they do
not present a copy to Dr. Mike and a copy to Robyn Capestany. All new
runners who have not competed at the Junior Olympic level also need to
provide a copy of your Birth Certificate to The Association office so it can
be verified and to Dr. Mike for the team records.
